We’ve put together a few examples of some common indicators below. Pilot Light Goes Out
There are a few reasons as to why the pilot light in your boiler assembly may go out. Because this pilot light is necessary in the operation of the boiler, allowing for the combustion of fuel, it is important that any issues with an unreliable pilot light are resolved as soon as possible. You may have a faulty thermocouple stemming the flow of gas to your boiler, for instance, or there may just be a buildup of some sort rendering it unreliable.
Cold Radiators
Do you use old steam radiators in order to distribute heat throughout your home? If so, you know that there is nothing more frustrating than turning on the boiler, only to find that your radiators are still ice cold some time later. You may need to have your system flushed or chemically cleaned in order to resolve the problem, as corroded pipes can lead to the accumulation of sludge in the system. This can inhibit the flow of hot water throughout.
Boiler Cycles Off
You don’t want your boiler running all of the time, of course, but it also should not be switching itself off shortly after coming on, either. You may have low water pressure in your system, or a pump within the system may be malfunctioning. There are a number of potential causes for just about any boiler problem. The important thing to remember is that our professional technicians are here to resolve your boiler issues.
